Issue with make Model Selection After Choosing a Brand in the Search Engine

Hello, I would like to have the ability to select both the brand and model in the search engine. The brand is a category while the model is an attribute. For example, I create the category Ford and the attribute Mustang. While creating the attribute, I select Ford as the category for Mustang and I mark the option ‘Display in search form’. However, after publishing, the model does not appear in the search after selecting the brand.

After selecting a brand, there should be an action that reloads the search engine with Ajax and displays the models but this is not happening. What could be the cause and how to fix it ?

We recommend using a single select attribute with two levels, unfortunately, this will not work correctly with categories. Please check this topic Create two dependent Select attributes - #5 by andrii
