Tags in Japanese won't work

Continuing the discussion from When adding tags, alphabet cannot convert to Japanese:

Hi team,
Is this bug fixed?
Japanese tags still won’t work when input from front-end on PC.
It works on mobiles and from back-end.
How Can I fix it?

Hi,

Unfortunately, we can’t fix this externally, as it’s a select2 issue and we’re waiting for them to fix it. However, as a temporary fix, we can try to find a workaround, let me know if it works for you.
