By default, HivePress lets you mark a Vendor as verified from the dashboard, which puts the verified badge on their profile, and each listing has a Verified box of its own for the badge on that listing. Both last until you untick the box yourself, so a Vendor who set up their profile a year ago and has not touched it since still looks as freshly checked as one you verified this morning. This came up as a feature request from @astro a few days ago, and this plugin aims to help close that gap until something like it lands in core.
Verification Expiry for HivePress 
It gives a Vendor’s verified status an expiry date, either per Vendor or as a site-wide period, and emails the Vendor when they are verified, before the date, and after it passes. The idea is that a Verified badge has to be renewed, so it says the details behind it were checked recently, and Vendors have a reason to keep their profile, listings and contact details up to date.
What it Does

Verification Period and Verified Until - Two new fields under the Verified box on every Vendor’s edit screen. Choose 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 1 year, pick a date of your own, or say that this vendor never expires.

A Site-Wide Default - Set a default period under HivePress, Settings, Verification Expiry, so you do not have to choose for every vendor. Any vendor can still have their own.

Automatic Renewal Dates - The date is filled in each time a Vendor is verified, so re-verifying someone after their badge has expired is one tick of the box.

Three Emails - The Vendor is told when they are verified and when their badge is due for review, reminded a set number of days before the date, and told again when the badge is removed. All three appear under
HivePress > Emails, so you can reword them like any other HivePress email. (You can also make use of my new Email Studio for HivePress extension for this.) -
Vendor Badge, or Vendor and Listing Badges - By default only the Vendor badge is managed and listing badges are left exactly as HivePress manages them. Switch on sync and every listing badge follows its vendor instead: verifying, expiry and unticking all apply to the listings too, and a new listing from a verified Vendor is verified straight away.

A Verification Column - The Vendors screen shows who is verified, until when, and whose verification has expired.

Two Bulk Actions - Apply a period to vendors you verified before installing the plugin, or remove the expiry date from vendors who should stay verified.
Vendors you do not give a date to are not affected
A vendor with no date stays verified exactly as before, and deleting the plugin never removes anyone’s verified status. It only stops the dates being checked.

Install it the usual way, then go to HivePress > Settings > Verification Expiry to set a default period and the reminder lead time. To put a date on vendors you had already verified, select them on the Vendors screen and choose the “Apply verification period” bulk action. It checks for its own updates from then on, so future versions arrive on your Plugins screen like any other.
Your settings are kept if you ever delete the plugin, unless you tick the box that asks for them to be removed.
