Listing image won't load until page is refreshed

Hello, I recently purchased RentalHive theme and came across this bug where an image on a listing page will not load on first visit. When the page is refreshed then it loads fine.

Before I decided to create this post, I found multiple posts by other members facing the exact same issue (listed below). The answer from the Hivepress staff seemed to be the same which is: disable your caching plugin or any other thirdparty plugins/customization.

I tried solutions from all the posts combined and none of them fix the issue. It looks like the RentalHive theme itself has a bug as one of the users stated in this post (with their suggested solution). As they mentioned, this doesn’t happen on ListingHive theme. I can confirm that because I have been using ListingHive for a few months and I never encountered this issue/bug there before. This looks like a RentalHive theme issue.

My request: Can you please look into fixing this bug on the RentalHive theme so that the issue is resolved once and for all? I purchased RentalHive theme because I liked the look of it better than ListingHive. But now I am slightly disappointed after finding out that this premium theme has a bug which hasn’t been fixed after numerous reports from other members.

Below are the posts I found by other users who face the exact same issue, thanks.

  1. Images in Listings Not Loading Properly Until Refresh
  2. Image not loading in Rentalhive theme
  3. Listing images not loading
  4. Images not show on iphones only on first load if 1 image is set

Hi @astro,

If the bug was with the theme, surely the demo theme would produce the bug, too. However, I can see the listing images upon landing on the page for the first time.

Whilst I haven’t personally experienced this particular bug, I have had a few other image/slider related issues, but these were all caused by having my caching and optimization plugin setup incorrectly.

I’d recommend revisiting your settings or even temporarily disabling any third-party plugins, and seeing if the bug is fixed.

Nevertheless, I’m sure the HivePress team will reply soon.

I hope this helps in the meantime!

Cheers,
Chris :victory_hand:

Yeah I am not sure why it happens for some users but not for others but one user did point out that when there’s just 1 image in the listing then it does that. But when a listing has multiple images then they load completely fine.

Hi,

Thanks for providing the details.

While the suggestion to disable third-party plugins or customizations is often recommended, it’s a reliable first step in troubleshooting a wide range of issues.

If you have already tried disabling other plugins and customizations, please share a temporary access link at support@hivepress.io along with the link to this topic, and we’ll investigate further. You can create a temporary access link using this plugin. Alternatively, you can send us login credentials.
